What is Laser Collagen Replenishment (SR)?

Our lasers Hopelase and SR, are FDA-approved non-ablative devices to increase the collagen content in the skin and around the eye and face region. It requires two to three treatments over several weeks, followed by an additional three to four months of healing time (during which the cells produce new collagen). The overall effect of this increased collagen is thickened skin and diminished fine lines. Lasers can also be utilized to treat a multitude of problems with the skin, including, dark pigmented lesions, hemageomas, rosacea, spider angioma, warts, poikiloderma, port wine birthmarks, certain pyogeni granulomas, and even the control of some acne-like conditions and acne scars.

How long does it take to see the effects of the Laser?

Approximately 30 days after treatment, some patients will notice a visible reduction in fine lines and periocular wrinkles. Most patients eventually report positive effects. The treatment improvement will continue up to 90 days after treatment. Best results are most often achieved after a series of two or more treatments, by which time patients have sustained an 80 to 130 percent increase in the amount of collagen.
